Project Status

Kalima Systems was created beginning of 2012 with primary objectives to facilitate iDempiere adoption by medium and large enterprises.
We want to do it without any negative impact to iDempiere community and in a way compatible with Carlos Ruiz assomption : clone will not be any more exception, clone will be the rule.

To reach this target we would like to provide to iDempiere what redhat provide to linux.

We are now at funding level.

We plan, end 2014, to produce Kalima ERP Distribution, to start to support it and to provide a plugin market place where our users will find tested plugins.

Kalima ERP Distribution

A Kalima ERP distribution would include :

• iDempiere core
• some iDempiere plugins
• eventually some other open source solutions to create a specific solution, for exemple Magento to have some e_commerce distribution. Each foreign code would have to be connected via an iDempiere plugin.
  

Kalima Systems Distribution will take advantage of iDempiere OSGI properties to manage versions and dependencies.

Kalima ERP Market place

Kalima ERP market place will have to validate plugins produced by iDempiere community, by Kalima partners and by Kalima Systems. The validation process will allow plugins certification to facilitate professional use.

Kalima systems plan to contribute some iDempiere plugins to iDempiere community.
Work in process in https://github.com/KalimaSystems is intended to provide a secure way to connect devices (Android, or other) with iDempiere, using loose network connection (3G, 4G or low quality internet)
